Beneva Flowers was founded in 1986 by Arthur Conforti Sr., and his family as a small, local flower shop at 6980 Beneva Road in Sarasota, Florida. When Conforti retired in 1992, his son, Art, took over the family business and grew the small shop into one of the largest and most respected independent flower shops in the nation.
Through years of hard work, high energy, acute attention to detail, and an unwavering focus on customer service, Beneva Flowers knew that their loyal customers were the key to success, and were proud to have been named Sarasota’s favorite florist for 17th consecutive years.
Serving the customer was the number one priority of Beneva Flowers since their first day in business. They were open every single day since, and took pride in their YES WE CAN commitment – a pledge that empowers employees to create an exceptional retail experience for each and every customer.
Their motto of “Exceeding Your Expectations” took on a special meaning to Beneva Flowers employees, it is a commitment to care for and honor the trust of every customer by providing personalized service and building long-lasting relationships.
With the ever-changing advancements in technology, Beneva Flowers remained a pioneer in the industry by staying at the forefront while constantly looking for new ways to innovate in order to provide better service and more convenience for their customers.
Beneva Flowers strived to serve customers’ needs and desires in more traditional ways. In addition to answering phones around-the-clock and providing 24-hour delivery service, Beneva Flowers was the only florist in the Sarasota area with its own wholesale importing division, allowing for the ability to buy long-lasting affordable flowers from all points of the globe.
Coinciding with their focus on customer service, Beneva Flowers also provided only top-quality flowers and gifts for their customers. In addition to the hand-selected, highest grade flowers in the industry, Beneva Flowers exclusively partnered with high-end manufactures and specialized boutique outlets to provide unique and special gift items for a true one-stop shopping experience.
Despite their worldwide reach and constant growth, Beneva Flowers always remaind a family-owned local shop with a great deal of pride in the community by giving back to local charitable organizations through its Helping Hands program.
Beneva Flowers was also an active member of the Elegant Sarasota Weddings Network, and served as the house florist of the Ritz Carlton in Sarasota, along with the Longboat Key Club, The Ringling, The (Helmsley) Sandcastle Resort at Lido Beach, Hyatt Siesta Key and other venerable institutions in the Sarasota area.
