Locals and visitors alike know that the best pizza on Siesta Key can be found at Flavio’s Brick Oven & Bar, located at 5239 Ocean Boulevard in Siesta Key Village. Since opening its doors in 1991, Flavio’s has been a staple for homemade pasta, fresh seafood, and of course, everybody’s favorite pizza.
Now you won’t have to drive all the way out to the island to experience that Flavio’s one-of-a-kind wood burning brick oven pizza, along with a host of other traditional Italian favorites, because they’re opening up a second location at 1766 Main St. in downtown Sarasota.
All of the same time-honored made-from-scratch classics from the original location will be available downtown including the famous gnocchi that is still made fresh every morning by Flavio’s mother – the same way she’s been doing it for over 60 years.
Flavio’s new downtown location offers a casual, classic feel with beautiful Venetian and art deco glass accents and a breathtaking back garden room that can seat up to 40 people for dining, parties, receptions, and special events. It is located in building formerly home to Beulah, but fans of that now-shuttered restaurant need-not worry because the same favorite recipes from Beulah will soon be available at Flavio’s Downtown.
